Dr. Housner graduated from Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, and went on to receive his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. He then completed both his internship and his orthopedic surgery residency at Detroit Medical Center through Wayne State University.

Dr. Housner gained board certification through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and Michigan Orthopaedic Society. He is affiliated with Beaumont Hospital in Dearborn and St. Mary Mercy Livonia Hospital in Livonia, Michigan.
